In addition to a large editorial news section and Germany's by far most popular free e-mail service, 1&1 Mail & Media offers paid subscriptions to a variety of internet-based services, such as paid e-mail accounts, virus protection software or web hosting services.
In Romania, 1&1 Mail & Media is developing applications related to calendaring (Calendar product), document editing and viewing (Online Office product), messaging, web hosting and a customer care tool.
Our team is looking for a new colleague to join us and work on the products we are responsible for:
The Online Office is a suite of applications that allow users to edit or view files from their Online Storage in the different Portal solutions offered by 1&1. Both the editor and the viewer use as document processor engine the open source Libre Office and Collabora Online product, to which we are contributors.
The Calendar is an application that offers calendar-specific features like managing different topics related calendars, events, invitations, possibility to integrate with external calendar, import ics events from other systems, integrate with known Calendar clients through the CalDAV protocol. The Calendar engine with the CalDAV protocol implementation is COSMO, an open source project that 1&1 is the owner of and where we are main contributors.
The Mail Support Tool, which is a key centralized customer information tool developed for Customer Care. It is directly connected to the customer care ticketing system and gathers all relevant information via dedicated APIs which connect to all the portal products.
