About the team:
Online Platform Development vision is to build the eCommerce Platform offering the whole range of eCommerce APIs to easily integrate with the product world of 1&1. This paves the way for faster Solutions, new Marketing Channels and Innovation.
Our purpose is to serve and enable our internal teams of software development specialists to bring their products online and to offer the best customer experience.
As a DevOps Engineer in Online Shop Romania team your primary responsibility will be to support your team, in infrastructure topics and integrations - from planning to building and running.
As a DevOps Engineer, your collaboration skills and relationship with adjacent development and Operations teams is a crucial success factor for everything we do.
You will have the opportunity to influence architectural decisions, facilitate technical delivery and shape the strategy and execution of the Platform.
Main responsibilities:
- You are an integral part of a development team and take ownership in deployments in all stages, up to production in our internal Cloud;
- You will further configure your team’s software artifacts to seamlessly work with our existing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment solutions;
- You will closely collaborate with our internal Cloud Platform team to maintain and optimize the container orchestration;
- You continue to expand the monitoring and alerting infrastructure;
- You contribute to the continuous improvement of our development environments in terms of a better developer experience.
Requirements
We appreciate:
- You have a very good understanding and practical experience in container orchestration (Docker, K8s, Helm);
- You have practical experience with running Java applications;
- You have experience in the administration of complex Jenkins pipelines;
- You have practical experience with Ansible, the ELK stack, Prometheus and Grafana;
- You are proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Bash);
- You have a general interest in software development topics;
- You are confident in using version control systems, especially Git incl. Branching models;
- You are eager to learn and like to keep yourself up to date on DevOps and container topics;
- Ideally, you already have some experience with a Service Mesh (Istio);
- Customer orientation and the ability to work in a team are important to you;
- A high degree of initiative and creative drive also characterizes you.
