About the team:

The Infrastructure and Network Development Team is responsible for the development of internal tooling used for IONOS (1&1 Internet), both backend platform and frontend management UIs. We are an experienced team developing applications and tools that are used in a very complex ecosystem. Active projects are focusing on developing Orchestrators for Datacenter and Network infrastructure. We work with DevOps technologies like Kubernetes / OpenShift, Docker containers, Jenkins and others. We are working in a very friendly environment and we support each team member to evolve and learn new technologies. We have a proficiency in Open Source technologies and encourage every member to become a contributor to different Open Source projects.

We are looking for a software developer with strong knowledge of networking technologies. The new colleague will work in close collaboration with our Hosting DDoS Defense and Web Protection Team - a team of highly motivated security experts, in charge of the protection of our cloud and hosting products. Main responsibilities:

•  Further development and optimization of the distributed DDoS defense platforms as well as the analysis and visualization mechanisms;
•  Design, development and implementation of new functions as well as planning and operation of international setups;
•  Evaluation and assessment of new technologies and products, creating technical concepts;
•  Create and work with high-performance and high-scale distributed microservices;
•  Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, from testing stage to production, write unit and integration tests where necessary;
•  Work independently when needed with minimal supervision;
•  Work with colleagues and peer teams, both local and abroad.
