Our team is happy to welcome you. Here is what you will be doing if you choose to join the team:

  • You will analyze requirements (environmental conditions, installation, material, manufacturing, life-time) related to the mechanical design of an electronic control unit used in automotive and non-automotive applications;
  • You will have the chance to lead actively technical discussions with supplier and capability evaluation for components in own responsibility as part of the purchasing process;
  • You will be in charge for design of new or change of an existing mechanical part using one of the material classes metal sheet, plastics or die-cast, by taking into account all technical and assembly requirements as well as manufacturing technologies and cost aspects;
  • You will support the launch of the product in series production and after start of production;
  • You are going to prepare all documentation related to the mechanical design as required by the engineering process;
  • You will have the chance to evaluate technical and commercial risk and time planning;
  • You will have the chance to participate in customer meetings;
  • You will be in charge of supporting the sample built in different stages of the product development;


Who you are:

  • You have a University degree in Mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field of study;
  • You have at least 2 years experience in Product engineering;
  • You have at least 1 year experience dealing with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing;
  • You have at least 2 years of experience with CAD-based design tools;
  • You have excellent understanding of the design rules for plastic, sheet metal and die cast components;
  • You have knowledge about tolerance calculations, manufacturing technologies (i.e. stamping, injection, SMT) and the inter-connection of different mechanical parts (i.e. connectors);  
  • You have knowledge of existing design methods like FMEA, DFMA, V-Model;

  • If you have experience with CREO;
  • If you are willing to travel;
