Role
Responsibilities
- Database design and capacity planning
- Configure, monitor and tune a variety of SQL and noSQL instances;
- Provide level 3 technical support to internal software development teams throughout all the stages of application development;
- Focus on data (any kind of data);
- Design and maintain backup, restore strategies and security policies;
- Develop and maintain internal procedures and wiki;
Requirements
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- MySQL expert;
- Experience with other relational or non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Couchbase);
- Very good knowledge of InnoDB and MyISAM storage engines;
- Experience with Percona XtraDB Cluster, Galera, Postgre-XL, etc;
- Knowledge of Linux;
- Knowledge of programming or scripting in any language;
- Able to work in a fast pace working environment;
- Good English in both writing and speaking.
Will be a plus:
- Experience with search engines (ElasticSearch, SOLR, Sphinx);
- Exposure to Hadoop and Hadoop related technologies;
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc;
- Experience with any of the following: Zabbix, Logstash, Graphite, Diamond.
