The mission

Do you understand what, where and how Tech professionals  want to learn? Are you familiar with adult learning principles?  Do you have great communication skill and experience in learning and development?

We are looking for an enthusiastic customer journey specialist with solid knowledge of the trends in IT and corporate Learning to strengthen our Global Tech Academy team. We are looking for someone who has a strong track record in learning and development and experience or affinity with Tech.

As a customer journey specialist you will have end-to-end responsibility for the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of ING engineers “learning journeys”’ globally,  and you will contribute to the realization of superior (digital) learning experiences leveraging our internal platforms and communities.

Your day-to-day

  • You will be part of a squad within ING's Agile organization, working together with other experts and collaborating with multiple (global) stakeholders across the organization, contributing to the backlog planning and execution of the squad goals.
  • You collaborate with our engineers, managers, HR and data scientists to understand the organization’s learning needs and translate them into improvements for our learning ecosystem.
  • You contribute to the Marketing and Productization activities around engineers ‘learning journeys’ and the preparation and implementation of the communication strategy.
  • You work closely with our internal and external procurement, vendor management, risk and compliance departments and support on the fulfillment of the relevant policies and guidelines.
  • You monitor and evaluate the performance of our learning ecosystem, building relevant feedback loops and adjusting direction when necessary.
  • You pay a lot of attention to stakeholder management within ING with potential users of external content. You are able to act as 'broker', facilitator and 'connector'.
  • You connect ING Techies to internal and external IT events and promote their participation and contribution to such events.


What you bring to the team

  • Bachelor Degree or higher
  • Learning and development experience
  • You are a great communicator, capable of translate complex topics into appealing messages and with an excellent command of English
  • You are analytically strong, with the ability to think strategically and prioritize
  • Networking is in your genes and you can easily connect with stakeholders at all levels
  • You are enthusiastic, confident, and take initiative
  • You have affinity with IT; you understand what your IT colleagues do and you are aware of the most important developments in the field.
  • Since we are a distributed team (the Netherlands and Romania) with a global footprint and scope, you are prepared to travel.
  • Bonus: Experience with instructional design and design thinking methodologies
