Touchpoint Platform is part of ING’s “Think Forward” strategy to become a truly global bank. It is a strategic program that that aims to provide a globally scalable banking platform by simplifying and standardizing our banking applications and creating a modularly built system.
As OPS engineer you will work in a squad with 5-7 other engineers.
Together you will support Thirdparty access product, APIs and a front-end application that allow external applications to authenticate and connect to ING.
Your day-to-day
- Continuously monitor and improve efficiency, quality and time-to-market through in-depth automation of building, testing and deployment
- Handle risk and production stability
- Support users of your product when they have technical questions or experience issues
Requirements
Who we are looking for?
We are currently looking for an OPS Engineer for our Yoda Squad within Touchpoint. The squad currently consists of 6 developers and a PO, all located in Bucharest.
We are looking for the following characteristics:
- A strong interest in Continuous Delivery and Agile / SCRUM ways of working
- Understanding of what operational excellence means in a DevOps environment and how to contribute.
- Deliver on promises while keeping good communication lines with clients and partners
- Support the applications, you are working on, in production environment.
- “Can do" mentality, flexibility and ability to take ownership
- A collaborative approach to solving problems while bringing positive energy to the team
- Ability to give and receive professional feedback
- Platform engineering / Total stack experience (e.g. Linux, Azure DevOps, scripting, …)
- Relentlessly learn and think in solutions, considering short and long-term value and impact
- Excellent team player, quality focused, service oriented, eager to learn.
What you bring to the team
- Academic education: Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Cybernetics or equivalent.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and Continuous Delivery pipelines
- Good understanding of cloud native tools
- Understanding of working in a complex IT landscape such as ING
- Good understanding of software security issues, like the OWASP top 10
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences;
- High learning ability
- Excellent soft skills
