Your Day-to-Day:
- Responsible for the global Business Intelligence (BI) platform used in ING’s Group Services (BI tool - Cognos Analytics from IBM): deployment, monitoring, testing, performance;
- Using Agile SCRUM principles to deliver, maintain and extend the data analytics & reporting platform;
- Actively involved in platform automation and orchestration, both from technical and process points of view; focused on establishing, managing, and configuring Cognos Analytics environments;
- Being in charge of the reliability and stability of the platform;
- Proactive in coming up with improvements and new solutions - identifying best approaches from technical and risk perspectives.
Requirements
We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated team-player to be part of the Business Intelligence team who has the following characteristics:
- 5+ years of experience maintaining high availability applications on Linux environments;
- Operating systems like Linux and Windows (with a focus on Linux), knowledge on troubleshooting and performance;
- High experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery;
- Good knowledge of monitoring tools like Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana;
- Effective decision making/problem solving skills (debugging, testing);
- Experience with SQL / PLSQL;
- Willingness to learn new things & technologies (automation tools, OS related, storage related);
- JAVA (object-oriented programming) awareness;
- Ability to understand and translate user requirements;
- Experience with pair programming; Passionate about development and operations;
- Good team player and communication skills; Fast learner and willing to improve daily;
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
