As a colleague in the Esperanto Deployment Team, you will join one of the teams working closely with two Tribes: the Global Data Tribe which is responsible for activities that support effective data governance at ING and the DataLake Foundation Tribe which ensures a standardized and uniform infrastructure alongside a common way of working.


Your Day-to-Day:

As part of the Esperanto Deployment team, your adventure begins by taking part in the team’s sprint planning sessions. Your sprint activities will be divided into 2 categories: regular and one-time activities.

  • Regular activities can consist of -depending on the release calendar- preparing Linux environments by installing prerequisite features, creating deployable products as requested by the Product Owner, deploying and testing of these products, assisting the Product Owner with technical analysis on our products when improvements/new developments are required and last but not least, supporting our internal clients with deployment related questions/issues.
  • One-time activities include: migrating environments/databases to different versions, supporting internal clients during migrations, environment patching, etc

All these activities contribute to our main goal: capturing the business metadata and data models into deployable products.


Knowledge and experience:

  • 3+ years in an IT Ops or DevOps role within a complex dynamic international environment;
  • Affinity with LINUX, SQL and ANSIBLE scripting/playbooks;
  • Experience with Bash scripting and building tools;
  • Work experience as a Python developer;
  • Knowledge of Systems administration and SDLC practices
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written);


Nice to have:

  • Graduated in Computer Science or a related degree;
  • Focused on Continuous Delivery and Integration;
  • Azure DevOps knowledge/experience;
  • ETL development experience.
