We are a fast growing team looking to deliver disruptive solutions to design, develop, configure and deploy an automatized solution for smart incident management
One on our main goal is to be main leaders and drivers of future operations anticipation inside Orange Group.
Our focus is on developing an innovative software product to increase the stability and reliability of Orange services.
Project is having a self-driven, highly oriented towards research and development approach.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, develop and deliver high quality products to support business needs;
- Contribute and collaborate with other engineers on technical and architectural decisions;
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, making recommendations on best options;
- Build and operate backend cloud services within a containerized microservices architecture;
- Develop automated tests, enabling faster design and test cycles;
- Enjoy end-to-end ownership from concept to deployment, including building and operating infrastructure, toolset and deployment pipelines;
- Work with the most dynamic and exciting software projects today. Here are a few of tools and methodologies we use:
– Infrastructure: Kubernetes, GCP, Docker;
- Platform: Confluent Kafka, Redis, Elastic, PostgresDB, Linkerd;
- Tools: Terraform, Ansible, GitLab, Prometheus;
- Code: Java, Go, Python, containerised microservices, open-source ;
- Ways of working: Agile Scrum, code reviews, test automation;
Requirements
What you need to know/have
Background
Programming:
- Databases: strong experience with databases, primarily SQL-based (e.g. PostgreSQL).
- Data: vast experience in working with (large amounts of) data. A mindset and a true love for “all things data” – algorithms, structures, optimizations, modelling.
- Systems: experience with SOA, N-tier design, experience with APIs e.g. REST, SOAP, experience with messaging brokers e.g. Kafka.
- interest in owning projects end-to-end and supporting them;
- appreciation of clean code and software engineering best-practices;
- a passion for learning and an interest in Java or Go (previous experience isn’t required);
- strong programming skills (ideally in Java / Golang but not mandatory, background in C/C++/Python are also a good fit);
Nice to have
- Databases: NoSQL experience.
- Experience with Agile methodologies;
- Infra: experience with cloud integration e.g. GCP.
- Understanding of Telco basic concepts
Personal skills
- Willingness and ability to learn quickly new technical or mathematical methods with little guidance.
- High energy, clear goal orientation and strong work ethic; “can do” attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills who enjoy sharing knowledge and collaborating with others
