Then grab this opportunity! You will work with the newest technologies, including Android development and the latest version of Angular, to create a cutting-edge application for the defense industry.
Help set the technical direction for our application
You will take part in designing and developing the next generation of our SitaWare products for the mobile market using the latest technologies such as Angular 8+, Angular Material, Java, RESTful APIs, TypeScript, and Gradle.
SitaWare Frontline is a touchscreen application installed on Windows tablets in military vehicles and a breakthrough in battle control software. It offers clarity, simplicity, and high performance that addresses real-world command and control challenges for the soldier at the frontline.
Likewise, SitaWare Edge is an Android application that is specifically designed for the dismounted commander at the tactical edge.

Specifically, you will:
- Develop full-stack software applications in TypeScript, Angular, and Java
- Troubleshoot, optimize and solve complex problems in an existing codebase
- Design and implement new features together with our Domain Experts and User Experience engineers
- Ensure the quality of the solution by reviewing and inspecting the design and code made by your developer colleagues
During your first months with us, you will enroll at our academy where you will learn about Systematic and our ways of working, our architecture, components, tools, and more. You will be assigned a tutor and participate in training where you quickly will get to work hands-on with our code.
You will be based at our offices in the heart of Bucharest. Here, you will join our Danish and Romanian SitaWare Frontline & SitaWare Edge project team of approx. 40 colleagues. Our project is brand new, so we have a great spirit, and you will have plenty of opportunities to learn from many senior colleagues.
Depending on the COVID-19 situation, it is a possibility to spend your first 2 weeks in the Systematic HQ in Denmark, Aarhus.
Requirements
Developer with Java experience
You are known for showing initiative – not waiting for others to come to you but proactively making things happen on your own. Likewise, you are not afraid to speak your mind.
While you can work independently, you collaborate well and listen to and evaluate technical improvement input from your colleagues; they know they can come to you to raise their questions and concerns.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar
- Bring at least 1 years of programming experience
- Have experience with Java and/or TypeScript development as well as unit test frameworks – JavaScript and CSS experience are a plus
- Bring experience with – or are interested in learning about – GIT, Gradle, TeamCity, and Jira SonarQube but also Robot Framework, Bazel, Closure, etc.
It is an advantage, but not a requirement if you bring experience with web technologies such as TypeScript, Angular 8, or similar, including experience with designing web applications using Angular Material for mobile, tablets, or desktop environments.
