Role

We are looking for an accomplished Art Director to join our FIFA development team and help us achieve our goals of creating games that bring joy to our players.

At EA SPORTS, we aim to create immersive, emotionally engaging games. We want our players to enjoy curated experiences, tailored to their preferences and represented by visuals that enhance their immersion and participation through a strong visceral appeal.

As visual creatives, we love art and games and we are motivated to blend the two into rewarding interactive moments designed to put the player first. We might set the tone through mood boards, visualize through concepts, breathe life into characters or worlds, or delight with effects but we are all artists and we all want to create for others to enjoy.

We are inspired and influenced by the digital and analog world around us, by history, and by the future. We are curious and seek to understand the 'what' and the 'why'. We have trained to see what matters most and to deliver what is most important. Our job is to provide visual clarity and direction to support the game design and player experience.

You will partner with design, production and tech to establish a clear vision for the game's visual and behavioral experience. Based on the experience, target audience, and trends, our art directors design a visual language that adds and supports the players' emotional and cognitive engagement in the game. We want our players to feel immersed in their experience and delighted by our visuals. You will report to our Executive Art Director.

Requirements

As an art/ visual director, you will have worked at a holistic level on large projects. It is advantageous to have worked on AAA games and understand the scope that is involved. However, your philosophy, the scale of previous roles, and your accomplishments are what we value most. You are comfortable with complexity, able to strategize and be determined to create experiences that delight our players. You can understand the player's journey, establish a narrative and then direct the required visual experience.

You can set creative standards to lead your team, able to inspire them around a vision, and unlock their potential and productivity. You can create space for others to do great work through autonomy and understand the need to mentor rather than solve.

You can lead a team, comfortable working with developers of all disciplines, and appreciate the value of leading inclusively and mentoring others, using clear goals to measure progress and success for yourself and your team.
