We are looking for

An experienced QA engineer to develop, maintain and execute our product and software testing procedures. You will ensure that new and existing products meet high standards of usability and quality, by creating test plans and cases, performing user acceptance testing and being part of integrated testing.

 

The Customers Division is responsible for managing all the flows related to customers in eMAG. Products managed by these teams are part of the core backend framework and have an impact in areas such as transactional communication, order history, account details and many others. Among their projects you can recognize:

  • Priority Pay – self-service payment devices, found in eMAG showrooms
  • NPS/CSAT/Seller Ratings - surveys that measure the customer satisfaction regarding eMAG services
  • GDPR - set of rules designed to give customers more control over their personal data>

Requirements

What you will do

  • Review project specifications, requirements and technical design documents and provide feedback where needed;
  • Writing production plans that minimize the risk of mistakes during production;
  • Calculate Statement, Branch/Decision and Path Coverage at project level;
  • Provide feedback & innovative solutions to increase the level of quality depending on the technologies the dev teams will use.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs;
  • Estimate, prioritize and plan testing activities;
  • Execute test-cases against new build versions;
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs;
  • Analyze & execute different type of testing procedures depending on the tasks assigned;
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
  • Build test reports;
  • Actively participate in validation process of new projects that are to be tested;
  • Create new tests and maintain existing ones;
  • Actively participate in large integration or regression testing;
  • Keeping close contact in projects with business analysts & product owners;
  • Stay in-tune with the latest technologies, testing tools and test strategies; proactively identify areas for improvement and propose viable solutions;
  • Collaborate with other technical team members to quickly troubleshoot and resolve any critical issues.

What you must have

  • 3+ years of QA experience;
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance on web applications;
  • Knowledge of Software QA methodologies, tools and processes;
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) knowledge & understanding.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases;
  • Experience working in an Agile team;
  • Solid knowledge of SQL
  • Proven work experience with REST APIs or SOAP and documentation tools (Swagger for example)
  • Understanding AMQP (RabbitMQ);
  • Flexible, communicative, a real team player;
  • Able to work on several simultaneous projects and to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic workflow.

It is considered a plus/would be nice to have

  • Automated testing experience (codeception or similar)
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing;
  • NoSQL (Mongo, Couchbase);
  • Knowledge & experience in scripting;
  • Knowledge of Linux & Git/Stash knowledge;
  • ISQTB foundation level certification
  • CI/CD flow experience
