Role
- Design and enhance security solutions for Garmin's server-side applications.
- Create innovative solutions for application stability and monitoring.
- Help drive innovation and automation of security validation tools and services through integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Join a group of passionate and committed developers and architects with wide experience across multiple platforms.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency and necessary experience in designing, enhancing and developing complex Java microservices (Spring Boot) and cloud-native applications.
- Knowledge or passion to learn about server-side application security topics including SSO, SSL, certificates, OWASP.
- Good understanding of Linux system administration.
- Interested in container platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, etc.
- Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Would be a great plus if you:
- Don’t mind getting your hands dirty in legacy code that needs TLC in a variety of application languages (Python, JavaScript, Java).
- Thrive in an agile environment and are happy to teach and learn from your teammates.
- Are interested in coming up with innovative solutions for complicated problems and are passionate about finding ways to do things better.
- Enjoy system administration/system engineering as much as software engineering.
