Role

The Mission:

Being a global company having in the strategy the delivery of a global platform for all customers, ING puts a lot of attention on the security processes and requirements. Following a strict set of security rules and processes, ING ensures that all platforms, user access procedures and security related tasks are in line with the security minimum standards.

The SPE/DDE payments squad is responsible for E2E delivery of payments solutions (implemented in Single Payment Engine and Direct Debit Engine applications) for our customers in 8 countries from ENC & CEE region plus Singapore.

 

As a Developer Engineer you will:

  • Work in an Agile environment using the Scrum framework;
  • Develop and maintain applications; embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices;
  • Take an active part in design and technical decisions on both new and existing components;
  • Implement changes in web and back-end applications, covering both functional and technical support of the application, during acceptance testing or in case of production incidents;
  • Be able to mix “big picture” reasoning with component level delivery;
  • Take ownership by coding components and applications, as well as unit and integration tests;
  • Follow coding and security standards;
  • Contribute to the automation process in terms of Continuous Integration/Delivery.

Requirements

What you bring to the team:

  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps principles;
  • High curiosity for the business domain and geek level back-end experience in the specific field: software development on .NET Framework (full Fx) using C# in desktop and server environments;
  • Good understanding of OOP, design pattern and SOLID principles;
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL using T-SQL and MS SQL BI (SSRS, SSIS);
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell/DSC/other scripting language)
  • Experience with static scan tools (Fortify, Checkmarx, etc.)
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
  • Functional programming appetite;
  • Test Driven Development mindset;
  • Optimization techniques and strategies.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with integration platforms (IBM WebSphere MQ, Web services using different technologies like WSO2, TIBCO, XFB)
  • Cloud experience
  • Infrastructure knowledge (networking, vulnerabilities)
  • Azure DevOps experience
  • Coaching/mentoring experience
