Role
Mission
Strategic Cash & Liquidity Solution (Group Treasury) is a multi-year (3+ years) project to upgrade the legacy system which would provide benefits aligned to ING’s vision for Cash & Liquidity management. This project has multiple phases where we would be streamlining internal applications/flows and would be creating new components/services to standardise flows towards the strategic cash and liquidity solution. Currently, we are working on Cash & Liquidity Unite Engine (CLUE) project. This is a new project and building the IT platform from the scratch needs skills in various programming languages. CLUE component is a real-time pass-through system where all the interfaces towards cash & liquidity and payments applications would be directed towards CLUE and flows will be simplified and data will be provided to the strategic solution. CLUE can be seen as a type of normalisation service that can scale up drastically with high availability. Current focus of the project is to on-board as many cash-flow systems as possible and to provide a highly available (three nines), highly scalable, resilient solution that can handle millions of messages.
We have following applications in our portfolio:
• Smart Predict – existing vendor solution for the Liquidity solution
• Calypso – Global back office treasury system used in ING as Payments Engine for Treasury products using various features like: Payments (SWIFT), trading, workstation and various other back office functionality
• CLUE: new component as described above
As a Java Developer you will:
• Being DevOps Engineer, work on user stories
• Coding / Unit Testing and assistance on UAT test
• End to End ownership of the user stories, analysis to release and support
• Demo to the user groups / teams
• Coordinate activities across the groups for user story delivery
• IT Risk: Ensure that user stories are delivered within the scope of ING IT Risk & ensure all the IT risk requirements/documentations are performed
• Collaborate with teams at different locations - Bucharest, Amsterdam, Mumbai
• Participate in Scrum rituals: Stand ups/Retros/Refinements/Reviews
Requirements
Your key competencies:
• 5+ year experience of java development (Java8+)
• Experience working with TDD and BDD (Cucumber and Concordion)
• Project experience in financial market group treasury
• Experience working on CI/CD tools - TFS, GIT, Maven, Azure, Ansible etc.
• Experience with XML, XSL, XSD used for MX messages, replacements of MT messages
• Functional Product Experience with Financial Markets like Money Market, FX and Securities products
• Analysis Skills
• Some knowledge of PL/SQL
• Good communication skills with an appetite to receive feedback whether it is positive or used for improvements.
• Experience in SCRUM with a strong preference for the agile way of working.
• Good Linux skills, for day to day purposes
Nice to have skills (Certainly puts profile on top):
• Understanding/work exposure to Kafka
• Experience/Knowledge of various Java Frameworks – Spring, Camel.
• Experience working vendor Treasury applications like Calypso, Murex, Summit, Sophis.
• Exposure to open source technologies like docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Experience in multi-location teams
• SWIFT messages, MT and their new ISO20022 standard for MX
• Knowledge of Treasury Cash & Liquidity Management
