The Mission:

You will be part of the newly formed Global Retail Digital, Platforms & Customer Interaction (CI) department that will drive ING’s digital strategy and execution towards becoming a true global platform.

In this role you will be part of the CoE CI Data Model which is responsible for developing and implementing the global data model for Customer Interactions in all 14 ING Retail’s Business Units. The CoE is leading a virtual international team of highly skilled data experts from ING Business Units and owns the CI Data Model which is thriving to become the single source of truth for all analytical CI capabilities.

Besides that, we closely collaborate with other CoEs and Delivery Squads within Global Retail Digital, Platforms & Customer Interaction team in areas like relevant and personalized communications, advanced analytics, communication orchestration, transaction categorization & PSD2 aggregation.

Your day to day:

• As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the analysis of the data and the data ingestion of the physical model at the various stages of the data pipeline with a focus on our standardized consumption data mart called CI Data Model for Customer Interactions Analytics.
• Development of ETL flows using IBM DataStage 11.7 / Oracle DB
• Understand the concepts and the business value of the data that is processed
• Integrate data from different source systems in the Information Warehouse
• Build Data Marts in alignment with the business needs
• Perform tests and validate all data flows and prepare all ETL processes according to business requirements
• Contribute to deployment of code changes, mappings and metadata
• Maintaining the applications running in our local & global Data Lakes is the operations part of your job. You and your fellow engineers are not only responsible for what you build but also for maintenance and monitoring, including incident management and bug fixing. You will also be responsible for keeping the operational controls, which are a key part of the risk appetite of the bank, up to date.
• The role requires occasional travel to other ING locations
