Role

Data Solutions for Capital Markets Technology team provide data solutions for the Capital Markets business. The team is comprised of Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW), Business Intelligence and Front-End teams, Application Development (App Dev) teams, a Solution Architect and Quality Assurance team. The team works as a collective to design and build valuable data solutions for Capital Markets business.

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our growing team and bring Cloud expertise. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with the Cloud Architect and Data Solution team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in tandem with our Cloud Architects Team and Central Cloud engineering team to identify and implement the most efficient cloud-based solution;
  • Working closely with our DevOps and Development teams;
  • Handling / Monitoring cloud environments conforming to company InfoSec and CET guidelines;
  • Help supervise cost and monitor security standard to reduce operational running cost;
  • Design, build, and deploy AWS applications including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive analytics;
  • Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software running the data warehouse including data landing, ETL Reporting and processing;

Requirements

Skills:

Must Have:

  • 3 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms;
  • Terraform /Jenkins /Ansible /Bitbucket;
  • Knowledge of web services and API;

Nice to have:

  • Security and Cost Monitoring experience with tools like Cloud-Heath and Dome9;
  • Understanding of cloud technology such as Snowflake or Matillion will be big plus;
  • Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL/ELT, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, new analytics;
  • Preferred Qualifications: AWS certifications, Snowflake certifications;
  • Intermediate level use of Business Intelligence tools for data analysis and report generation (e.g. Business Objects, Data Visualisation);
  • Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum and full SDLC experience;
  • Open to share your knowledge with other members of the team;
  • Experience with change management and release management;

Will be considered an advantage:

  • Understanding of cloud technology such as Snowflake or Matillion will be big plus;
  • 1-2 years UNIX shell scripting;
  • Good understanding of Equity and Derivatives Trading;
